Nine Songs 02:09
I wrote you nine songs sang em all night long but for no one, no one so I put em on a shelf sat there by myself I was waiting, just waiting for you to come on by and spend some of your time and you'd hold me, I could hold you babe I'm fallin', I'm fallin' for you your room is full of stars jupiter and mars fly around us, all around us and you're snuggled in your bed, you try to rest your head but your eyes are open, yeah they're open so I'll take down all my songs and sing em all night long just so I could help you, now you're sleeping babe I'm fallin', oh I'm fallin' for you babe I'm fallin', oh I'm fallin' for you

I will try to save you from the pain of the world never try to change you cause you always be my girl I love you to the moon and back you know it's true and I'll never take my love back
8.
when you get older and on your own remember you once were young tIme passed much slower and all your dreams played themselves out under the sun I wanna run to the river chase away the clouds find a waterfall sing just to hear the sound remember to play and be a child laughing and holding hands tomorrow could never be today embracing all that we can I wanna run to the river chase away the clouds find a waterfall sing just to hear the sound
9.
Simple 03:45
There's a knot in the wood and we can't saw through try to wait it out it won't break down at all he's strong in his heart and it all plays part in the world of flaws with everyone involved it's simple, simple, simple way to love it's not hard no no it's easier than anything else we know Golden rules that we're living by it's all we've ever known life turns out to be serious and we've all got work to do You measure the wind and it won't cave in the roof and the walls they can't hold out for long now that you know more the danger holds you're smart and your wise but you can't hold anything that's tied Golden rules that we're living by it's all we've ever known life turns out to be serious and we've all got work to do

about

Brandon Draper's latest record, night-night songs, pulls from his own experiences as a father and traveling musician. Written over the last five years, night-night songs is exactly what it sounds like it is, a collection of goodnight songs for children, but it's also the story of a father promising not to ever fade or fall away from the lives of the most precious people in his world, his baby girls.

Draper, an accomplished musician and producer, has worked on more than twenty albums, but this one is the most personal, the most honest, the most raw. His voice, a liquid tenor that glides with Neil Young-like fluidity, rises and falls against the backdrop of one guitar. A man and his music, a father and his songs, promising sweet dreams.

Like Fleet Foxes and Iron & Wine, Draper weaves tapestries of sound and story, wrapping his listener in a cocoon of safety that transports us back to childhood, or what we wish our childhood could have been. In simple words that say profound things, night-night songs take us back, slows us down, and helps us love.
